Following the huge success of our European Day of Languages celebrations, we have decided to start a new exciting programme called Country of the Month. As an Educate Together School, we feel it is very important to recognise and respect each others cultures. We hope that this programme will help us to learn more about each other. Each month all children of the school will learn about a country and its culture.

This month all children will be learning about the Czech Republic. Over the next fortnight the children will take part in many different activities celebrating Czech culture. Some of the parents who speak Czech will also be visiting the school to help us with our learning. We would like to take this oppertunity to thank Andrea, Jana, Roman and Anita for giving up their time.

Over the next few months we will be celebrating other countries represented in our school. However, as we have nineteen different nationalities it would be impossible to celebrate all cultures in one school year. During the months of December and June we will celebrate all of our pupil's cultures under the themes of celebrations and food. All information about Country of the month will be available on the school website.

As always we welcome any ideas or suggestions from parents which might help us improve this programme.
