2009 in Maynooth Educate Together ended with our Winter Wonderland Production. Elaine's class sang songs and recited festive poems. They were fantastic! Marie's class displayed excellent acting skills in a producation of Mr. Wilson's Toy shop, reminding us that the greatest gift a person can recieve is love. Congratulations to all the children for an outstanding show. See the photographs in the Childrens Work section.
It was brilliant to see so many Parent/Guardians attend the preformance.The Christmas raffle was very well supported on the day of the show. A big 'Thank You' from the Parent Association for your support. The money raised from the Halloween Dress Up Day & The Raffle will be spent on Goal Posts & Basketball Nets for the school.
A New Year brings lots of New activities and events to the school. The country of the month in January is England, in February is China and in March is Ireland. MET will participate in the St. Patrick's Day Parade this year. Starting in February the children will participate in Gaelic Games coaching and will recieved weekly sessions by highly trained and skilled coaches.
We would like to welcome a new member of staff - Amy Bennett. She will take over the Learning Support & Resource role in the school. The new class arrangments will be as follows; Elaine will teach Junior Infants and half of Senior Infants. Aimee Stapelton will teach half of Senior Infants and 1st class. Marie will teach 2nd Class and 3rd Class . Claire will continue as Language Support Teacher.
